Beekeeping Lessons

Join us at Dogwood as Brad of Brad's Bees & Honey gives you an up close tour of their many hives they keep at Dogwood. This will be a hands on demonstration and lesson. Brad and Tabitha will discuss hive maintenance, swarm prevention, how to identify different aspects of the hive and how and when to apply mite treatments. We may also cover splits and other topics as time permits. Please bring your own bee suit and gloves.

- This event takes place on a farm; therefore, please be aware that it is outside. Please dress appropriately for the weather (including safe footwear) and bring any water, sunscreen or bug repellant to meet your needs.
